Moon Willow Press plants trees every year, usually in memory of my father, who died in 2009. This year we received the shocking and sad news of my husband’s cousin, who died in the early morning of November 1, completely unexpectedly. He leaves behind his wife and three children, mother, siblings, and grandmother (who is 102). He was a forester, and I thought it would be nice to honor him this year by changing things around some with Moon Willow Press’s annual tree-planting donations. This year we donated to the planting of 200 trees with One Tree Planted. Though the organization plants trees around the world, we chose to reforest in British Columbia, where Ross worked as a forester for years. I remember his love for trees and for being in the outdoors. He was a natural. See our tree-planting page for more information. This brings our tally of trees planted from donations to 1,587.
